  Jehovah's Witnesses, size, and the true religion

  a lot of the arguments jehovah's witnesses make in favour of their religion can only work because they are a very small religion and are spread so thin.

  nowhere in the world do jws make up any kind of majority or even significant minority in any country or city.

  considering how jws would have to work with larger populations exposes these arguments, for example:.

  It would be nice of all the dubs lived somewhere else. What a pleasant day-dream.

  A nation of dubs would implode under the impossibility of living with its own doctrines and rules.

  Dubs could never live by themselves in any large-scale setting. They depend on the rest of us for medical care, scientific research (from which they pick like scavengers), and modern conveniences.

  Falling asleep whilst praying..

  when i believed in jehovah(tm), i'd pray to him at night.

  i'd doze off.. i remember admonition from the podium that it was disrespectful to doze off during our personal prayers to imaginary sky god jehovah(tm).. i'd wake up.

  say sorry to jehovah(tm) then either carry on grovelling or just end it.. one thing's for sure, asleep or awake, pray or not it makes no difference........no one's listening!.

  When I was a reluctant teenage dub, I never made any personal prayers. Listening to the 5-minute dronings at the beginning and end of three meetings a week were more than enough.

  And remember this, little dubbies: Jehovah will NOT send you a pony no matter how much you pray.

  JW Middle Schoolers vs Non JW Middle Schoolers - what was your middle/high school experience?

  i'm a secondary school teacher and i've spent a lot of time at school this year since i've left jws simply observing student dynamics.

  i do a lot of playground duty and have the opportunity to observe the kids at play and in the classroom.

  i've especially had the opportunity to observe middle school kids, that is, kids between 12 and 15 in my state.. my observations of these 'worldly' children are:.

  for years i have been told different scenarios from different christian groups about who the antichrist will be.

  some born agains have told me that the antichrist will be satan the devil stripped of all his powers and trapped in a human body on earth.

  he will still have the same attitude and try to get people to worship him instead of jehovah and jesus.

  Gorgonzola with toasted walnuts, ripe pears, drizzled with vinaigrette.

  Curls of aged parmesan on pasta tossed with butter and black olives.

  Mac and cheese, the cheese being a very sharp cheddar cheese.

  Monterey Jack on tacos.
